Massimo Imparato
Architect and designer, he has covered strategic positions in both the academic and industrial sectors. His research focuses on the evolution of the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, and the influence of these changes on users’ interaction.
Massimo earned a Master’s Degree in Architecture. He collaborated with Giancarlo De Carlo in the field of Urban Design, and his projects in this domain have been awarded in international competitions. He covered strategic positions both in Academy and Industry. He has taught in Schools of Architecture and Design in Italy and in the Middle East, where is now Assistant Professor at the Canadian University of Dubai, UAE. In 2000 founded StudioBau, a small firm that operates at the intersection of architecture, interior and furniture design. As a consultant, he art directed furniture manufacturers among whom the Italian high-end brand Azucena. As the Art Director for Matrix International he made researches at the Yale University on unpublished furniture designs by Eero Saarinen; the achievements of this work are now published in the book “Eero Saarinen, The Organic Unit in Furniture Design”, with a foreword by Paolo Portoghesi. His research focuses on the evolution of the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, and the influence of these changes on users’ interaction.
